What We Believe
We Believe that the Bible is the inspired and unerring Word of God.
It is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction
in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped
for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16 NKJV
We Believe that Jesus is Christ, that he is both man and God. John 1:1,14
We Believe that God is one and that the Godhead is made up of the Father,
the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Colossians 2:9 Matthew 3:16,17.
We Believe that the Gospel is the power of God to save mankind. The gospel
is the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ as defined by Paul in
1 Corinthians 15:1-5
We Believe that Christ will take vengeance out on those who do not know God,
and those who do not obey the Gospel.
2 Thessalonians 1:7-9
We Believe that Romans 6:3-6,17-18 teaches that one obeys the Gospel in
re-enacting the Death Burial, and Resurrection of Christ, and that obeying that
form of doctrine delivers us and sets us free from sin.
We Believe that as Christians we should assemble as the Church to fellowship
and to corporately worship God.
Hebrews 10:24,25; Acts 2:42.
We Believe that worship in Spirit and in Truth involves both our attitude and
our actions. Our attitude when in worship to God is one of joy and reverence. God
establishes what we do in worship in His word. When we assemble together we:
Pray - 1 Timothy 2:8, Acts 2:42
Study God's Word - Acts 20:7; 2:42
Take the Lord's Supper - Acts 20:7; 2:42
Give - 2 Corinthians 9:7
Sing and make melody in our hearts - Ephesians 5:18-20,
Colossians 3:16-17
We Believe that faith is necessary to receive grace and forgiveness.
Romans 10:17
We Believe that repentance is necessary to receive grace and forgiveness.
Luke 13:3
We Believe that the confession of Jesus as the son of God is necessary to
receive grace and forgiveness. Matthew 10:32
We Believe baptism, immersion in water is necessary to receive grace and
forgiveness. Acts 2:38
WE Believe that God adds all obedient believers to the church. Acts 2:47
We Believe one must continue to walk in the light of God to continue to
receive grace and forgiveness. 1 John 1:7
